The people at the wheel of automobile web site Cars.com recently jump started a good discussion with their list of the Top 10 Most Memorable Movie Cars. The chart is in honor of the new big-screen Transformers movie.

Their list is a retread of a similar list of theirs from last year, that one for Cars. This overhauled line considers much of the reader feedback the original list received. What results is a product as finely-tuned as a Lamborghini.

Without further ado, here is their list.

  1. The Italian Job - 2003 Mini Cooper S
  2. Ghostbusters - 1959 Cadillac Ambulance
  3. The Blues Brothers - 1974 Dodge Monaco
  4. American Graffiti - 1932 Ford coupe
  5. Wayne's World - 1976 AMC Pacer
  6. Bullitt - 1968 Ford Mustang GT 390
  7. Goldfinger - 1964 Aston Martin DB5
  8. Ferris Buehler's Day Off - 1961 Ferrari 250 GT
  9. Smokey and the Bandit - 1977 Pontiac Trans Am
  10. Back to the Future - 1981 DeLorean DMC-12

As Cars.com admits in their article, this list will likely be revisited with the debut of next year's Speed Racer movie. Maybe Bumblebee, the '77 Camaro from Transformers (which you can now bid for on eBay), will make next the 2008 list.

Visit the Cars.com post for photos of all the models.
